Senior Year Adventures

Here are some of my favorite moments from this past year. I have been fortunate enough to spend time in some of the coolest places in the country with awesome people. Thanksgiving 2012 was spent in Moab with the bestest of friends. Back in Bozeman, skiing and biking. And of course, my hometown in Maine for some seaside skiing. 

Visual Poetry - My Spring Senior Thesis

My series of images explores the spirit behind the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson and the universal language found within them. Each collage represents my personal interpretation of Emerson's words, while also serving as an object, mimicking the polaroid lifts they were made from. The emulsion lifts bring about an element of surprise and simplicity, similar to the straightforward subject matter being used. My project brings attention to the Transcendental ways of life and the comfort I find within them.
